Fnv Crash On Startup

SOLVED!


Solution: turn off any program that can causes popups to appear during the startup process of the game. This does not include steam. The program that caused the problem for me was overwolf.



Compatibility issues may cause Fallout New Vegas to crash on your PC. To fix this problem, you need to run the game in compatibility mode: Right-click on Fallout New Vegas on the desktop and select Properties. Navigate to the compatibility tab and check the Run this program in compatibility mode box. Right click on Start and select Program and Features. Highlight your game in the list of available programs and apps. If your game supports repair, Repair will appear as an option above the list of games. Select this option to access the in-game repair process. Alternatively, some games support repair via the Uninstall/Change options.

I have been trying for about three days now to get TTW to work and every time i have had the same results. When the game boots up i will get the screen with all the different copyright info, it will then move on to the 'Bethesda softworks a ZeniMax Media Company' however during the transition it will freeze. At this point it has crashed and will stay like that until the game is shut down.


I didn't know how to make those fancy green buttons so my install log can be found as an attached dokument

I have tried uninstalling fallout 3 and fallout New Vegas twice. The second time i made sure to remove anything even a little related to fallout.

Fallout 3 is the steam GOTY edition. while New Vegas and all the dlcs were bought separately.
